Sleep Apnea Syndrome is a condition in which breathing repeatedly stops or becomes shallow during sleep, preventing deep rest. It is linked to excessive daytime sleepiness, various complications, and even sudden death during the night. Many adults who appear to be healthy may also suffer from sleep apnea syndrome, and it is estimated to affect approximately 2–3% of the population.
In the past, a diagnosis required hospitalization and the use of large testing equipment.
At our clinic, we have introduced portable testing devices that allow you to undergo the test at home. Simply wear the device before going to bed for 2–3 nights.
